Mountains capture your gaze whichever way you turn. La Villa is in the very heart of Val Badia and our family run Ciasa enjoys an ideal location here: a paradise on earth which reinvents itself from season to season. There are the World Cup races on the Gran Risa slope in winter and in summer there is the Maratona dles Dolomites. Sport and outdoor pursuits very much take centre stage here. In just a few minutes you can be in the Alta Badia ski area, it part of the Dolomiti Superski carousel. The Marmolada is not far away and of course you can spend a day doing the Sellaronda itself. Lifts are open in summer too and every type of excursion is here for you to enjoy.
And for the young ones there is a play-park right next to the woods – a real delight!

Ciasa Giardun is a family run Residence with three types of apartment – all offering every comfort, tastefully decorated, and having a sense of Ladin tradition about them. There are 50 beds in total and everything one could need is on hand: shops, supermarkets, pizza restaurants, and a chemist’s are all easily reached on foot. For sportswear and fashion there is “Botëghes Lagazoi” in the nearby village of San Cassiano and for those seeking quality local products such as cheese, speck, wine, and grappa there is “Delizius”.

Skiing on the doorstep

We are close to the lifts, just one hundred metres from the chair-lift which connects with Piz la Ila on the Sellaronda, and the Dolomiti Superski circuit. Skiing is so easy to access. No need to think about cars or skibuses. And then there is the privilege of having the mythical Gran Risa slope so close to home. It is a slope worthy of respect and is the dream slope for many a skier informed of its World Cup history.

In the heart of Val Badia

La Villa is so beautiful!

Located at almost 1500 metres of altitude, La Villa is right at the heart of Val Badia, standing at the foot of the Gardenaccia and Piz La Ila plateaus. Looking up and beyond the church tower one can make out the beautiful majesty of Sasso di Santa Croce. La Villa is known throughout the world for its Gran Risa ski slope, home to World Cup races in December, but of course La Villa is beautiful in any month of the year.
